Meet the Maker

Hey there, I’m Mariah.

The owner and lettering enthusiast behind MW Designs, based in southern Maine. A lifelong Mainer, born and raised in “the county,” I moved to the Portland area in 2014, and fell absolutely in love with the creative community here!

I started hand lettering in 2016 in preparation for my wedding. After a couple of friends asked me to do some lettering projects for their weddings as well, I officially kicked off MW Designs as a side gig in 2018.

When I’m not writing on something, you’ll probably find me doing some type of DIY home renovation project with my husband, Chris; out camping in our teeny, tiny camper (which we also renovated, DIY-ers for life!). Or snuggling at least one (out of two) of our cats, with a coffee in hand!
